THE INSPIRATION

As the Shield surrenders the day, warmth gathers at the shoreline — woodsmoke off the last fire, resin in the cooling air, a low radiance held in the stone. Ember Lake is dusk made dense and golden: smoke and wood wrapped around a glowing amber core.
